The Whim Creek Project is:
- located 115 km to the west of Port Hedland and includes the historical Whim Creek, Mons Cupri and Salt Creek deposits where 67,000 tonnes of copper have already been produced from near surface oxide ores;
- the Evelyn Resource; and
- 18,100 ha of tenements over the highly prospective Whim Creek basin.
The Sulphur Springs Project is:
- located 144 km to the south east of Port Hedland and includes the Sulphur Springs and Kangaroo Caves deposits together with tenements covering 27 km of the Panorama trend that contain six advanced targets that have returned intersections of ore grade copper zinc mineralisation from wide spaced drilling.
The JORC compliant Resource inventory of these two projects is 24.2 Mt grading 1.3% copper, 3.6% zinc, 0.3% lead and 18 g\t silver containing 307,000 tonnes of copper metal and 897,000 tonnes of zinc metal.
Venturex also receives an ongoing income stream from a profit share arrangement with Blackrock Metals in its SX/EW heap leach operation recovering copper from the heap leach dumps at Whim Creek. Venturex received $780,000 in FY2016 from 990t of copper metal production. This cash flow covers the bulk of the Company’s overheads.
